Inspiration- something that makes me happy

When I think of something that makes me happy, I automatically think of my friends. My friends are extremely important to me. They're who I go to if I'm having a rough day to go and get some cheesy tots after school or if I just need someone to make me laugh during gym, and they never fail to be there for me. Most of my friends I've only known for three or four years, but I feel like I've known them my whole life and hanging out with them on free weekends always makes me happy. My friends are really important to who I am and they make me the person I am today.
The friends I surround myself with are quite possibly the funniest people on the planet. Whether it's laughing about inside jokes from eighth grade, making up crazy scenarios about what we would rather do, or simply just laughing about how stupid we're being, they never fail to make me laugh. I always find myself laughing when I'm around them and it's just the best.
I love hanging out with them and I've grown to love them all for themselves. We never have to be anyone different when we're all together, we're just ourselves. We get on each others' nerves, yes, and we sometimes say the wrong thing at the wrong time, but we keep each other grounded. Hanging out with them individually or in a group really does make me happy.

Inspiration- Younger Self

I have literally thousands of embarrassing pictures of my younger self because my sister fancied herself a photographer so awesome for me. It's nice though to go back and see the pictures, especially from when I was super little, and reminisce. I was the cutest baby in the entire world. Anyways, enjoy!
Sorry for party rocking in this fur fest when I was like six...I, like Marlee, dressed myself. I have at least three hundred picture of myself in those fabulous heart glasses. I honestly can;t remember where I was when this was taken though (oops).
This was a common picture in my youth, me with my sister, apparently I was just always with her. I love this picture though, my sister was like thirteen (and would kill me if she knew this was online) and it just reminds me of the good times when we were younger and when we were super close. Lovin' the christmas spirit!
So I was the adorable, quiet one in the back that was enjoying my red wagon and meeting Madeline. The children before me are in order my best friend who is sobbing and who I grew up with, Ashley and then the boy in between us is her cousin..or something Devon, I also grew up with him. I really like our cardboard crowns in this picture and also how confused I look that everyone else is crying and I'm just like what's going on guys but, anyway awesome picture overall.

Genre

So my genre project is on street photography in New York City. I hope that I captured beautiful images during my day in the city over Christmas. I went to Rockefeller Center and tried to capture people ice skating and gathering around the big Christmas tree. My view finder was stuck though so I couldn't get a very good view of my images (oops). Anyways, I really love the city and people in the city. The people are always the most interesting to watch so I just really wanted to try to capture some images of families around the holidays.
I really like that this photograph is black and white and I love the image being captured, five boys just jumping off a dock in the middle of summer, having fun. It reminds me of summer and I just love how only two of them are actually jumping and the other two are just watching. I think it's very intriguing.
So back to the city...the hussle and bussle of the subway car with the doors closing making the photograph look a bit blurry, it looks really spectacular. The city people in the background looking hurried and tense, it just looks very realistic because I feel like it's a common scene on the subway from my experiences.

The way that street photography captures random but interesting moments really amazes me and it looks very cool. I really like this genre and I hope my images come out similar to what I want them to be.

Pinhole

When constructing our pinhole cameras, I'm not going to lie to you I absolutely didn't like it one bit at all. It was so time consuming and every measurement had to be so exact (which I didn't realize at the time) and I just figured my camera would turn out wrong and wouldn't work. Well...I was wrong and I've come to really love my pinhole camera. It's a bit tedious sometimes only being able to take one picture at a time and having to worry about the perfect amount of time to expose the paper, but the pictures that I've gotten out of this little box of cardboard is incredible.
So I wasn't able to upload my own pinhole photos because they're not quite finished yet but I really like this picture. The light and shadows of this person taking pictures is cool and kind of ironic. I also like that you can see someone in the photograph too. Anyways its really cool and I like it.
I love the light thats streaming behind the person in this photo. It's also a bit of a one thirds rule (booyah) and the field being illuminated by the sun looks really beautiful.
Had to throw a city photograph in here because duh. The lights in the city against the dark sky look really incredible. The lights reflecting off of the water looks really beautiful too and I actually am a bit curious how long it took the photographer to get this perfect shot. The light and dark sky with the dock in the center cutting the photograph looks very  perfect and typical and I like it.
